James Wood is a British racing driver with extensive experience in various motorsport disciplines. Born on July 27, 1972, Wood has been actively involved in racing since 1990, showcasing his skills across numerous circuits worldwide, piloting over 200 different cars. His career encompasses roles beyond driving, including driver coaching as an ARDS 'A' Grade licensed instructor, car setup and development, promotional driving, and event hosting.
Wood's recent activities include participating in the Michelin Le Mans Cup with Steller Motorsport, driving their Audi R8 LMS GT3 car. He partnered with Sennan Fielding for the 2023 season. Beyond contemporary racing, James is also involved in historic motoring events.
