James French

James French, born on May 20, 1992, is an accomplished American racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing series. Hailing from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, racing is in his blood, having grown up watching his father race. He started karting at the young age of 5, quickly demonstrating a natural talent for the sport. By the time he was legally old enough to drive, James was competing in SCCA events, securing a 3rd place finish at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs.

Transitioning into professional racing at 18, James has achieved success in multiple series, including the American Le Mans Series, Indy Lights, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He is the Asian Le Mans Series Champion, and has won the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, and Petit Le Mans in the IMSA Championship. In 2019, he joined Performance Tech Motorsports for the IMSA Road Race Showcase at Road America, marking his return to the No. 38 LMP2.

Beyond his on-track achievements, James is known for his character. He actively participates in charitable events such as the Kart 4 Kids Pro-Am race, and the 12 Hours of Road America.
