Ibrahim Okyay

Ibrahim Okyay, born on August 1, 1969, is a celebrated Turkish auto racing driver with a career spanning over 30 years. Best known for his participation in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), Okyay has secured his position as a prominent figure in Turkish motorsports. In 2007, he clinched the Turkish Touring Car Championship, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Okyay's journey in the WTCC began in 2006 when he competed in two races at Istanbul Park, driving a BMW 320i. He returned to the WTCC in 2008 for a full season with Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, driving a BMW 320si and finishing sixth in the Independents Trophy. He participated in the European Touring Car Cup in 2011 and has also been a competitor in the GT4 European Series. Throughout his career, Okyay has raced for notable brands, including Nissan, Proton, Opel, Citroen, and BMW.

Beyond racing, Okyay has founded several racing teams, including Genesis Racing Team, Proton Turkey, Kosifler Motorsport, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, and BİTCİ Racing. He is also an experienced instructor in performance, motorsports, and ice and snow driving. With 10 championship titles and 151 podium finishes, Ibrahim Okyay continues to contribute to motorsports both on and off the track.
