Gabrielle Dela Merced

Gabrielle "Gaby" Dela Merced, born on June 10, 1982, is a prominent Filipina racing driver who has also found success as a model and television personality. Dela Merced began her racing career at the age of 16 and quickly established herself as one of the few Filipinas to compete in the male-dominated world of motorsports. She is notable for being among the few Filipino women to race in the Asian Formula Three Championship and the only Filipino woman to complete a full series in that competition.

Dela Merced's racing achievements include finishing as a runner-up in the Philippine National Formula Championships. In December 2008, she showcased her endurance racing skills by participating in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, co-driving the Team Castrol-Speed Trapp Racing BMW M3 with Robbie Montinola and Angelo Barretto. The team secured a commendable 6th place in the E0 class and 12th overall out of 68 participating cars. Her racing history also boasts numerous class wins and overall placements in various Philippine racing series.

Beyond racing, Dela Merced has had a successful career in entertainment, appearing in television commercials and hosting shows like "Slipstream" and "Gaby's Xtraordinary Files." She even participated in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition 2." Her diverse talents and achievements have made her a recognizable and inspiring figure in the Philippines. As of 2022, Dela Merced is part of Team MSCC Mazda Miata.
