David Newsham

David Newsham, born on July 7, 1967, is a British racing driver and businessman. Best known for his participation in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) from 2011 to 2017, Newsham has a diverse motorsport background. He is also the managing director of Norscott Vending.

Newsham's career highlights include winning the Renault Clio Cup UK championship in 2010 with Team Pyro, securing an impressive twelve race wins during that season. Before that, in 2009, he competed in the Renault Clio Cup UK with Amery Motorsport, achieving one race win at Silverstone and finishing fifth overall in the points standings. In the BTCC, he drove for various teams, including Special Tuning Racing, Team ES Racing, and Power Maxed Racing. In 2016, he briefly stepped away from the BTCC to compete in the British Rallycross Championship before returning to the BTCC for a couple of rounds as a replacement driver. He announced his retirement from BTCC in 2018.

Throughout his BTCC career, Newsham demonstrated his versatility by driving different cars, including a BMW, SEAT Leon, Toyota Avensis, Vauxhall Vectra, and Ford Focus ST. His best result in the championship was tenth overall, showcasing his consistent performance and adaptability on the track.
