David McDonald is a British professional racing driver hailing from Surrey, United Kingdom. Known for his versatility and adaptability, McDonald has competed in various forms of motorsport across the UK and Europe, ranging from single-seaters to sports cars. His ability to quickly acclimate to different race cars has made him a sought-after driver, often assisting teams, amateur drivers, and clients in both competitive racing and coaching scenarios.

McDonald's passion for racing ignited at the age of eight when he began karting. He honed his skills over eight years, securing numerous race wins and championship titles throughout the UK. At 17, he transitioned to car racing, joining the Formula Renault BARC Championship where he immediately impressed with multiple podium finishes and fastest laps during his rookie season.

In 2011, McDonald made his debut in sportscar racing, entering the British GT Championship. He finished as Vice Champion in the British GT4 category, claiming 3 wins, 6 podiums, 5 pole positions, and 4 fastest laps across 10 races. This success paved the way for a sustained career in endurance racing, participating in prestigious championships such as the Blancpain Endurance Series, British Endurance Series, GT Cup, and British GT.
