Bruno Pires

Bruno Manuel Pires Silva, born on May 15, 1981, is a Portuguese former professional road racing cyclist and current racing driver. As a cyclist, Pires competed professionally from 2002 to 2016. Born in Redondo, Portugal, he began his cycling career with ASC-Vila do Conde, later joining Milaneza-Maia and Barbot-Siper before his first foreign team, Leopard Trek, in 2011. He spent four years with Tinkoff-Saxo before concluding his cycling career with Team Roth in 2016. His cycling achievements include winning the National Road Race Championships in 2006, stage wins in Volta ao Alentejo and GP Internacional Paredes Rota dos Móveis.

Transitioning to racing cars, Pires has found success in the Iberian Supercars Endurance and Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade (CPV), securing the GTC category championship in 2022. Driving a Porsche 997 for Fabela Sport, alongside teammate Fábio Mota, Pires demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, overcoming the challenges of an older sequential gearbox to achieve overall race wins. His ability to adapt and excel in both cycling and motorsports showcases his versatility and competitive spirit.
