Austen Smith is an American racing driver with experience in various racing series. In 2021, he participated in the TC America Powered by Skip Barber Racing School series. More recently, Smith has been making a name for himself in the world of Late Model dirt racing.
In 2025, Smith is set to embark on a journey as a rookie in the World of Outlaws Late Models series. Hailing from Rome, Georgia, Smith has long aimed to compete nationally against the best Late Model drivers. He will be supported by Shane Clanton and Capital Race Cars, gaining access to the equipment and expertise needed to compete at this level. Clanton, the 2015 series champion, will provide invaluable guidance as Smith navigates the challenges of racing with the World of Outlaws.
Smith has already demonstrated his potential in limited World of Outlaws starts, making the Feature on Saturday at the Prairie Dirt Classic and on all three nights of the season-ending World of Outlaws World Finals in the previous season. As he enters his rookie season, Smith recognizes the high level of competition and the commitment required to race against the Outlaws every weekend.
