Andres Mendez

Andres Mendez is a Colombian racing driver born on July 30, 1992. Mendez's career began in karting in 2008, with encouragement from his father and grandfather, both of whom had experience in professional racing. He quickly progressed, finishing fourth in the Easykart Colombia Junior Class in his first year and securing second place in the KZ2 Class Open Colombia in 2009, earning him the "Rookie of the Year" award. Andres also gained international experience early on, competing in Italy's Industry Cup and the Easykart World Grand Final.

Transitioning to single-seaters, Mendez attended the Jim Russell Racing Driver School and demonstrated his versatility by winning the Six Hours of Bogotá in the FL2000 class multiple times (2009-2011). In 2012, he moved to the Star Mazda Championship in the USA, finishing 14th overall. He then embarked on a European racing journey, participating in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC in 2013 and the German Formula Three Championship in 2014. In 2015, Mendez joined Zele Racing in the Auto GP World Series.

Later in his career, Mendez participated in the Indy NXT series. He also competed in the Porsche Cup Italy in 2019 with Dinamic Motorsport.
