Andreas Baenziger

Andreas Baenziger is a Swiss racing driver and businessman with a diverse background. Born on March 7, 1962, Baenziger's involvement in motorsport extends beyond the driver's seat. He is the co-owner of AF Racing AG, which operates the R-Motorsport team. R-Motorsport has competed in various GT series, including the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, running Aston Martin GT3 cars.

Prior to his full-time involvement in motorsport, Baenziger had a successful career as an orthopaedic surgeon. Interestingly, he also owned two BMW dealerships before venturing into the world of Aston Martin. He co-founded 'R-Universe' group of luxury brands with Dr Florian Kamelger. R-Motorsport was created in 2016 to run its own cars, and in 2019, acquired the GT racing arm of Arden Motorsport.

Baenziger's racing experience includes participation in events such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the Bathurst 12 Hour race. He even secured a class win with Dr. Uli Bez, the former CEO of Aston Martin.
