Alfonso Toledano Jr

Alfonso "Picho" Toledano Jr., born in Mexico City on August 18, 1989, is a Mexican racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing disciplines. As the son of former Formula 3 driver Alfonso Toledano, he comes from a racing family. Toledano Jr. began his motorsports journey in karting, achieving notable success early on. In 2003, he finished second in the 100cc class, even beating future Formula 1 driver Sergio Pérez. The following year, he secured the championship title, showcasing his talent and potential.

Transitioning to formula racing in 2005, Toledano Jr. finished tenth in Formula Renault Campus. He then moved to the Panam GP Series in 2006, finishing thirteenth overall. His career gained momentum in 2007 in the Panam GP Series, where he achieved two victories and a third-place finish in the championship. However, his promising trajectory was interrupted by a severe racing accident during a pre-season test for A1 Team Mexico in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The accident resulted in multiple fractures to both of his legs, requiring extensive surgery and a long period of recovery.

Despite the setback, Toledano Jr. demonstrated remarkable resilience, returning to racing in 2008 in Formula BMW after a long period of immobility. After a further hiatus, he returned to racing in 2012, rejoining the Panam GP Series. In 2014, he participated in Formula Acceleration 1 as part of Acceleration Team Mexico.
