Richard Lietz

Richard Lietz, born on December 17, 1983, is an Austrian professional racing driver and a Porsche factory driver. Lietz began his racing career in 2000 and has since established himself as a prominent figure in the world of endurance racing, GT racing in particular. He has competed in various prestigious series, including the American Le Mans Series, Formula 3 Euro Series, and the Rolex Sports Car Series.

Lietz's career highlights include winning the International GT Open in 2007 and securing two GT2 class titles in the Le Mans Series in 2009 and 2010. A significant milestone was his victory in the 2012 24 Hours of Daytona in the GT division, driving a Magnus Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. In 2015, he achieved the title of World Endurance Champion for GT drivers while driving for a factory Manthey Porsche team. He has multiple class wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including victories in 2007, 2010, 2013, 2022 and 2024. In 2018, he won the Nürburgring 24-hour race.
