Pierluigi Veronesi, born in Bologna in 1988, is an Italian racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing disciplines. His early successes were in junior formula racing categories in Italy. Since 2010, Veronesi has been associated with Lamborghini, initially as an official test driver, becoming the youngest in the brand's history. His contributions extended to the development of some of Lamborghini's most prestigious cars until 2021.
In 2018, Veronesi ventured into the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, showcasing his versatility. Initially driving for BVR Motorsport and later CAAL Racing, he competed in the Elite 2 class, securing several top-10 finishes. Beyond EuroNASCAR, Veronesi has also made his mark in GT racing. In 2023, he achieved the title of vice-champion in the Italian GT4 Championship. In 2021, Veronesi founded his own team, Double V, in the European Nascar series.
Currently, Pierluigi is active in the SuperSport GT Series, the top series in the Italian Championship, and also works as a coach for Puresport, a leading company in Europe for driving experiences.
