Mike "Rocky" Rockenfeller, born on October 31, 1983, is a highly accomplished German racing driver with a career defined by both speed and endurance. Nicknamed "Rocky," he has secured victories in some of motorsports' most challenging races and championships. Rockenfeller's journey began in go-karts, where he quickly demonstrated his talent. After a period in single-seaters, he transitioned to the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, winning the championship in 2004.

Rockenfeller's breakthrough came in 2005 when he became a Porsche factory driver. That year, he won the GT2 class in the FIA GT Championship, along with GT2 victories at both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Spa. In 2006, he added another prestigious endurance race to his resume, winning the Nürburgring 24 Hours. A pivotal move to Audi Sport in 2007 marked the start of a successful relationship, competing for wins in the DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) series and at Le Mans. His determination paid off with the Le Mans Series Champion title in 2008 and the DTM Championship in 2013. In 2010, Rockenfeller achieved two significant endurance victories, winning the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

More recently, Rockenfeller has remained active in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. In 2023, he participated in the NASCAR Garage 56 project at Le Mans and piloted a Porsche 963 for JDC-Miller Motorsports in the GTP class. In 2024, he joined Ford Multimatic Motorsports, racing the new Ford Mustang GT3 and achieving the car's first IMSA podium. In 2025, he continues to compete in the IMSA series, driving the #64 Mustang. Off the track, Mike Rockenfeller resides in Switzerland with his family.
