Marc Rostan

Marc Rostan, born on November 30, 1963, is a French racing driver with a career spanning several decades and encompassing various racing series. Rostan began his competitive journey in 1987 in the Peugeot 505 Turbo Trophy, transitioning to the Peugeot 309 Turbo Cup in 1988 before making his debut in Formula 3 in 1990. By 1993, he had secured third place in the French Formula 3b Championship.

Rostan's career progressed into the international arena, participating in the International Formula 3000 championship from 1994 to 1996. His experience extends to twelve participations in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans between 1995 and 2012. In his first Le Mans attempt in 1995, driving a Welter Racing WR LM94, his team achieved pole position in the LMP2 class but had to retire due to an accident. He has achieved 3rd place finishes in the Total 24 Hours of Spa (Am) in 2015, Le Mans Series (LMP2) in 2006, FIA Sportscar Championship (Class SR2) in 2003, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (LMP2 Class) in 1995.

In 2006, Rostan finished as runner-up in the Le Mans Series in the LMP2 category, partnering with Pierre Bruneau. Known for his consistent participation, Rostan held the record in August 2008 for the most starts (23) in the Le Mans Series. During the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans, he finished sixth in the LMP2 class while driving the Team Bruichladdich Radical's Radical SR9.
