Joseph Burris is an American race car driver with a diverse background. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, and currently residing in Gainesville, Georgia, Burris brings a unique blend of experiences to the track, including being an Army Veteran, a Firefighter, and a Business Owner. His racing journey officially began after graduating from the Skip Barber Racing School in 2011.
Burris's racing achievements include a 3rd place finish in the AER National Championship in 2019. The following year, 2020, was a banner year for him as he clinched both the WRL National Overall Points Championship and the WRL National GP3 Championship. In 2022, he participated in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series. Beyond these achievements, Joseph has participated in 9 American Endurance Racing events, completing 784 laps with 4 first-place finishes, 11 second-place finishes, and 5 third-place finishes. Joseph describes himself as a "random nobody who plays with cars" and is "late to the party as far as racing, but have been looking for this my whole life."
