Initially a promising figure skater, achieving the title of a two-time national champion with aspirations for the 2018 Winter Olympics, a severe back injury at the age of 14 forced him to the sidelines. After a long recovery, Drury found a new competitive outlet in esports, becoming a proficient sim racer and even a 2020 eSports World Champion.

Driven by a lifelong passion for racing, Drury transitioned from the virtual world to real-world competition. In 2022, he won the PT Autosport Aspiring Driver Shootout, earning a scholarship and a driver development contract. In 2024, Drury competed in the Toyota GR Cup North America series with Precision Racing LA with PT Autosport. He secured a podium finish at Road America.
