Maurizio Ceresoli

Maurizio Ceresoli, born on May 25, 1983, is an Italian auto racing driver hailing from Modena. Ceresoli's career began in 2002 in the Italian Formula Ford Series, where he quickly proved his talent by finishing as runner-up in his debut season. He continued in the series for another year, securing fifth place overall, before making the move to the Italian Formula Three Championship in 2004.

In Italian Formula Three, Ceresoli spent two seasons competing for the Passoli Team. He achieved a commendable ninth-place finish in his first year, followed by an improved fifth-place finish in 2005. In 2006, Ceresoli stepped onto the world stage, participating in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). He drove a full season for the independent GR Asia Team, initially behind the wheel of a SEAT Toledo before switching to a newly built SEAT Leon mid-season. His best race result was a fourteenth-place finish at Brands Hatch. He ended the year fifth in the Yokohama Independents Trophy. In 2007, he continued with GR Asia in the Leon, beginning in round five at Valencia. Beyond WTCC, Ceresoli has also participated in the European Touring Car Cup.
