Cario Van Dam

Cario van Dam, born on February 27, 1986, is a Dutch racing driver with extensive experience in GT racing, particularly in Asia. While not Thai, he has close ties to Thailand through his long-standing partnership with Thai driver Piti Bhirombhakdi and the Singha Corporation. Van Dam has had a diverse career, starting in European single-seaters before transitioning to GT cars.

Van Dam's career highlights include winning the German Formula 3 Championship in 2007. He then moved to Asia where he competed in series like Super GT. He later partnered with Piti Bhirombhakdi in GT racing. They competed together in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup, representing TP 12 Kessel Racing. In 2016, Van Dam won the first race of TCR Thailand in Buriram.

Beyond racing, Van Dam has also worked as a coach for Singha Corporation's racing teams, further solidifying his connection to Thai motorsport. While he may have "dropped off the radar" in Europe for a time, his collaboration with Piti Bhirombhakdi brought him back to European competition, showcasing his talent and experience on a global stage.
