Max De angelis

Roman De Angelis is a talented young Canadian racing driver who has quickly risen through the ranks of sports car racing. De Angelis began his racing career at a young age, competing in go-kart and Formula 1600 series by the age of 11. His early successes soon led him to the Porsche GT3 Cup series, where he captured the Canadian Gold Cup championship in 2017 at just 16 years old. He further solidified his talent by finishing second in both the U.S. and Canada Platinum classes in 2018, ultimately clinching the Platinum class crown in the U.S. version in 2019.

In 2018, De Angelis showcased his versatility by also competing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge, where he won the season opener at Daytona International Speedway and teamed up with Kyle Kirkwood to win the Michelin IMSA Sports Car Encore at Sebring International Raceway. His experience in both the Porsche Cup and Prototype Challenge served as a springboard into a GTD seat.

De Angelis achieved a significant milestone in his career when he and teammate Ross Gunn secured their first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory in the GT Daytona (GTD) class at the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic in Detroit. This victory marked a first for both drivers and a maiden series win for Aston Martin. De Angelis credits the IMSA platform for providing opportunities and a high level of competition, allowing him to develop his skills and advance his career.
