Yarış pilotu Kamui Kobayashi

Kamui Kobayashi, born on September 13, 1986, is a highly accomplished Japanese racing driver and motorsport executive. He has demonstrated his versatility and skill across various racing disciplines, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the world of motorsports. Currently, Kobayashi competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Toyota and in Super Formula for KCMG. He also serves as the team principal for Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe in the FIA World Endurance Championship, a role he has held since 2022.

Kobayashi's career highlights include a stint in Formula One from 2009 to 2014, where he drove for teams like Toyota, Sauber, and Caterham. Though a Formula One podium eluded him for some time, he finally achieved it at his home race, the 2012 Japanese Grand Prix, becoming only the third Asian-born driver to do so. In the FIA World Endurance Championship, he has secured two championship titles (2019-2020, 2021) and a prestigious victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021, all with Toyota. Further showcasing his talent in endurance racing, Kobayashi is a two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona (2019, 2020) with WTR.

Before his success in endurance racing and Formula One, Kobayashi honed his skills in various junior series, including Formula Renault and GP2. He was part of the Toyota Young Drivers Programme, which helped him develop his racing skills and progress through the ranks.
