Ben Barnicoat

Ben George Barnicoat, born on December 20, 1996, is a British racing driver hailing from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, United Kingdom. Currently a factory driver for Lexus, he competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship with Vasser Sullivan and is also set to participate in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Akkodis ASP in 2025.

Barnicoat's racing journey began in karting at the age of nine, achieving multiple British and European Karting championships. He transitioned to single-seaters in 2013, quickly demonstrating his talent by winning the British Formula Renault Autumn Cup. He continued his success in Formula Renault, securing the NEC championship in 2014. In 2017, Barnicoat made a shift to GT racing, joining the McLaren GT Driver Academy and later becoming a Lexus factory driver in 2022.

His accomplishments in sportscar racing include winning the 2023 IMSA SportsCar Championship in the GTD Pro class with Jack Hawksworth for Vasser Sullivan. In 2024, he secured a class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving for AF Corse. Barnicoat has also achieved victories in prestigious events such as the 12 Hours of Sebring and the Long Beach Grand Prix. His racing resume includes participation in the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series, and GT World Challenge Europe, showcasing his versatility and competitiveness across different racing platforms.
