Wong began his racing journey in 2009 in the China Formula Campus series before transitioning to the Asian Formula Renault Series in 2010. He achieved a notable 6th place in the standings in 2013. Between 2010 and 2012, Wong showcased his talent in the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship, ultimately clinching the championship title in 2012.

In 2013, Wong continued his success in the Asian Touring Car Series, securing 2nd place in the championship. The following year, he moved to the China Touring Car Championship, where he finished 4th overall in 2015.
