Shinichi TAKAGI

Shinichi Takagi, born on May 6, 1970, is a highly accomplished Japanese professional racing driver, celebrated for his success in the Super GT series. Takagi's career highlights include securing the GT300 class championship twice, in 2002 and 2019.

Takagi made his debut in the All-Japan GT Championship (JGTC) in 1998, initially competing in the GT500 class. The following year, he transitioned to the GT300 class, quickly establishing himself as a strong contender. His first championship victory came in 2002 while driving a Toyota MR-S for Autobacs Racing Team Aguri (ARTA), partnered with Morio Nitta. In 2019, he captured his second GT300 title, driving an ARTA Honda NSX GT3 Evo with co-driver Nirei Fukuzumi. Notably, 2018 saw Takagi dominate at Fuji Speedway, winning both the Fuji 500km and the Fuji 500 Mile Race, demonstrating his enduring speed and competitive spirit.
