Zachary Claman DeMelo, born on April 20, 1998, is a Canadian professional race car driver hailing from Montreal, Quebec. He has built a career competing in various open-wheel series, showcasing his talent in Formula Renault 2.0, Indy Lights, and the IndyCar Series. Claman DeMelo's journey in motorsports began with karting at a young age. By 2016, he transitioned to Indy Lights, becoming the youngest driver on the grid with Juncos Racing. His debut season saw him achieve nine top-10 finishes, and three top-5 finishes, demonstrating his potential in the series. In 2017, racing for Carlin Motorsport, he secured his first Indy Lights win at Road America and achieved two podium finishes in Toronto.

Claman DeMelo made his IndyCar Series debut in the 2017 season finale at Sonoma Raceway with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. The following year, he joined Dale Coyne Racing part-time, driving the No. 19 Paysafe Honda. In 2019, he returned to Indy Lights with Belardi Auto Racing, winning the season-opening race in St. Petersburg. However, budget issues cut his season short. Beyond IndyCar and Indy Lights, Claman DeMelo has also participated in European racing series, including Formula Renault 2.0 NEC, Eurocup, and Alps.
