Viktor Viktorovich Shaitar, born on February 13, 1983, is a Russian racing driver with a diverse motorsport background. He began his racing career in karting, becoming a multiple-time champion in Moscow and Saint Petersburg before transitioning to open-wheel racing. In 2002, Shaitar secured the Russian Formula 1600 Championship title in his first attempt, showcasing his early talent. He further honed his skills in Finnish and German Formula Three championships and achieved victories in the Russian MitJet and Legends Series.

Shaitar made a significant entry into international sports car racing in 2013, joining the SMP Racing program. That year, he participated in the Blancpain Endurance Series and the European Le Mans Series, achieving remarkable success. He finished as runner-up in the Pro-Am class of the Blancpain Endurance Series and clinched the GTC class title in the European Le Mans Series, winning all four races he entered. In 2014, he continued his success in the European Le Mans Series, becoming the GTE class champion.

Viktor Shaitar has also participated in prestigious endurance races, including the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2015, driving in the LMGTE Am class, he achieved a significant milestone by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
