Stoffel Jacques L. Vandoorne, born on March 26, 1992, is a versatile Belgian racing driver currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Peugeot and Formula E for Maserati MSG Racing. Vandoorne's journey in motorsport began in karting at the age of six, and he quickly ascended the ranks, showcasing his talent in various junior formulas. He secured championship titles in the F4 Eurocup 1.6 (2010) and the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup (2012). In 2015, he dominated the GP2 Series, winning the championship in commanding fashion.

Vandoorne entered Formula One in 2016 with McLaren, initially as a test and reserve driver, stepping in for an injured Fernando Alonso at the Bahrain Grand Prix. He continued with McLaren for the 2017 and 2018 seasons before transitioning to Formula E. In Formula E, Vandoorne has achieved significant success, including winning the 2021-22 World Championship with Mercedes-EQ. He has also driven for HWA Racelab and DS Penske in the series. Alongside his Formula E commitments, Vandoorne has remained involved in Formula 1 as a test and reserve driver for Mercedes and Aston Martin. He also participates in the FIA World Endurance Championship, demonstrating his adaptability across different racing disciplines.
