Steven Aghakhani

Steven Aghakhani is a young and accomplished American racing driver making waves in the IMSA circuit. Born on April 11, 2003, the 21-year-old Los Angeles native began his racing journey at the tender age of seven, quickly progressing through the ranks of GT racing. His early passion for motorsports was fueled by car-themed video games and watching his father, a former racer, tend to his collection of high-end vehicles.

Aghakhani's career highlights include becoming the youngest driver to compete in IMSA's Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series at age 15 in 2019. Over three seasons, he secured an impressive ten race wins and clinched a championship in the Super Trofeo World Finals in 2019. He debuted in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2021 at Long Beach. After a year away from racing, in 2024, Aghakhani joined MLT Motorsports, piloting the No. 6 Ligier JS P320 in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge. Despite having no prior experience in prototypes, he demonstrated his adaptability and skill by sweeping the opening round at Daytona International Speedway and currently leads the P3 class.
