Sam Hancock, born on January 9, 1980, is a British racing driver with a diverse career spanning contemporary and historic motorsport. Hancock began karting at the age of nine and quickly progressed to cars at sixteen. He is a classic and historic car consultant, writer, and presenter.
Hancock's contemporary racing career saw him compete internationally in Le Mans, sports car, and GT racing. He secured a European Le Mans Series title in 2004 and served as a works driver for Aston Martin Racing from 2010 to 2011. He has participated in the Le Mans 24 Hours seven times across prototype and GT classes and also has a World Endurance Championship class win. He was a permanent part of the Jota driver lineup for five years, assisting the team to multiple victories.
Now deeply involved in historic racing, Hancock sources and sells vehicles for private collectors and participates in historic motor races. Throughout his career, Hancock has achieved 17 wins, 38 podiums, 14 pole positions, and 11 fastest laps in 202 race starts.
