Romain Dumas, born on December 14, 1977, is a versatile and accomplished French racing driver with a career spanning various motorsport disciplines. Starting in karting in 1992, Dumas transitioned to single-seaters, competing in French Formula Renault and Formula 3 championships. Although tests in Formula 3000, Renault F1, and Champ Car didn't lead to full-time drives, they paved the way for a successful career in endurance racing, GT, and sport-prototype categories.
