Racing driver Reece Barr

Reece Barr, born on October 24, 2000, is a talented Irish racing driver making waves in the world of motorsports. His career began in 2011 with national karting in Ireland, quickly progressing to Super One in the UK. Aiming for a swift transition to car racing, Barr tested various formulas, including MSA British F4, BRDC F3, Porsche Cup GT3, and Mini Challenge JCW. The thrill of touring cars led him to the Mini Challenge, where he secured a podium finish and a race win in his second round at Rockingham Raceway, ultimately earning the rookie title and vice-champion position in 2017.

Venturing into international circuits, Barr joined TCR Europe in 2018 with Target Competition and Hyundai. He further honed his skills in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and North America. In 2021, he became a development driver for Honda, contributing to the refinement of the NSX GT3. Barr's career continued its upward trajectory, with participation in the International GT Open with Mercedes AMG GT3 in 2023, securing an overall win. Currently, he competes in the GTWC Sprint series for Winward Racing in the Mercedes AMG GT3.

Outside the racetrack, Barr runs a private classic car restoration business, showcasing his passion for automotive history and craftsmanship. He is also an athlete ambassador for Sundried, reflecting his commitment to fitness and high-adrenaline sports. His racing achievements include Vice Champion in the Mini Challenge JCW (2017), participation in TCR Europe (2018), Porsche Carrera Cup Germany (2019), GT Open (2020, 2023), and the GTWC Sprint series.
