Paul di Resta, born on April 16, 1986, is a versatile British racing driver hailing from Uphall, Scotland. Known for his career in Formula 1, DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters), and now endurance racing, Di Resta has showcased his talent across various motorsport disciplines. He is also a broadcaster. Di Resta's racing journey began in karting, progressing to Formula Renault and Formula 3, where he clinched the Formula 3 Euro Series title in 2006, notably beating Sebastian Vettel.
Di Resta transitioned to DTM in 2007 with Mercedes, securing the championship in 2010. His success paved the way to Formula 1, where he raced for Force India from 2011 to 2013, achieving consistent points finishes. He later served as a reserve driver for Williams and McLaren, even stepping in for a race with Williams in 2017. More recently, Di Resta has focused on endurance racing, achieving significant success.
In endurance racing, he has achieved significant success, including winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2020 with United Autosports, alongside co-drivers Filipe Albuquerque and Phil Hanson. He also secured the 2018-19 Asian Le Mans Series title. Currently, Di Resta competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Peugeot, as well as WeatherTech IMSA SportsCar Championship and European Le Mans Series with United Autosports.
