Masaki Jonai

Masaki Jyonai (城内 政樹, Jōnai Masaki), born on September 9, 1962, is a seasoned Japanese racing driver and businessman. He currently competes in Super GT with R'Qs Motorsports. Jyonai's racing journey began in karting in 1988, where he demonstrated considerable talent, securing numerous karting championships. Transitioning to car racing in 1993, he marked his debut with a victory in the Suzuka 1000 km race in the Proto 2 class.

Jyonai entered the Super GT scene in 1997 with SigmaTec Racing Team. Over the years, he has accumulated two race wins, with his highest championship finish being 5th in his debut year. Outside of racing, Jyonai holds the position of CEO and President at Marusho Co. Ltd., a company involved in lighting, security, and construction sectors. He also shares his expertise as a karting lecturer at the Honda Racing School Suzuka and provides color commentary for television programs. Occasionally, he has competed under the pseudonym Guts Jyonai, inspired by comedian Guts Ishimatsu, but has since reverted to using his real name.
