Pangkalahatang-ideya ng Racer
Marco Apicella, born on October 7, 1965, is an Italian former professional racing driver. While his Formula One career was brief, consisting of a single Grand Prix appearance for Jordan at his home race in Monza in 1993, Apicella achieved considerable success in other racing categories. He qualified 23rd for the race, but his race ended prematurely due to a first-corner incident.
Prior to his short stint in F1, Apicella honed his skills in Formula Three, racing alongside notable drivers. He later transitioned to Formula 3000, achieving some success before heading to Japan where he drove in the Japanese Formula 3000 series. His time in Japan proved fruitful, culminating in winning the 1994 Japanese Formula 3000 Championship while driving for Dome.
Apicella also participated in other racing series, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Japanese GT series. He served as a test driver for Dome's F1 project in 1996. Although his Formula One career didn't extend beyond that single race, Apicella has had a long and varied career in motorsport.
