Marc Carol Ybarra, born on February 14, 1985, is a Spanish auto racing driver with a diverse career spanning several racing series. Carol's early racing endeavors included participation in the Formula BMW Junior Cup Iberia in 2001, where he secured a fourth-place finish. That same year, he demonstrated his versatility by winning the Spanish Citroën Saxo Cup. Continuing his ascent through the ranks, Carol finished fifth in the Spanish Formula Junior 1600 series in 2002.

In 2004, Carol's talent shone brightly as he clinched the Spanish SEAT León Supercopa title. This achievement paved the way for a significant opportunity: a one-off drive with SEAT Sport in the 2005 World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) at the Race of Spain, held at Circuit Ricardo Tormo. During this event, he impressed by finishing tenth in the first race and eighth in the second, earning a championship point. After his stint in WTCC, Carol returned to the SEAT León Supercopa in 2007, finishing thirteenth overall. He broadened his racing experience by competing in the Spanish GT Championship in both 2007 and 2008.
