Malcolm Strachan

Malcolm Strachan, born on March 12, 1984, is a Canadian professional race car driver and performance driving coach hailing from Toronto, Ontario. Strachan has a diverse racing background, showcasing his talent in various disciplines. He has achieved considerable success with 30 race wins and 4 championships to his name.

Strachan has competed in the NASCAR Canada Series (formerly the Pinty's Series) since 2009, with 15 starts. His first and only top-ten finish in the series came in 2018 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, where he secured a ninth-place result. In 2023, he made six starts, achieving a best finish of 12th at both the CTMP race in May and at Autodrome Chaudière. Beyond NASCAR, Strachan has spent a significant portion of his career in sports car racing, claiming multiple provincial championships and wins in national-level FIA GT4 competition in an Audi R8 LMS GT4. He also worked as a test driver for Speedstar in Canada's Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Championship. His past successes include four provincial GT championships, with three titles earned in a highly modified Corvette C5 and one in a turbo Mazda RX7.
