Johan Schwartz is a Danish racing driver with a diverse and impressive motorsport background. Born and raised in Denmark, his passion for cars ignited at a young age. He honed his skills driving on icy roads and frozen ponds. Later, he transitioned to formal racing, competing in series like Folkerace and Formula Ford 1600 in Denmark. He furthered his education in the United States, earning an MBA.
Schwartz's career took off in the US, where he founded Endurance Karting. This allowed him to dedicate more time to professional racing. He has competed in various series, including SRO America, TC America, and World Racing League, achieving significant success. Most notably, he clinched the TCB Championship in 2015 and the TC Championship in 2019. He also finished impressively in the BMW M Trophy Cup. In 2021, Schwartz added another dimension to his career by participating in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. In the 2022 and 2023 SRO seasons, he was the pro driver for Rooster Hall Racing in their GT4 America BMW. For the 2024 SRO season, Johan will drive for Ryspec in their GT4 Mercedes AMG.
Beyond racing, Johan Schwartz is renowned for his precision driving and drifting prowess. He holds multiple Guinness World Records, including the longest continuous drift (51.278 miles), the longest distance drifted in eight hours (232.5 miles), and the longest twin vehicle drift (49.25 miles). He also works as a Factory Precision Driving Instructor at the BMW Performance Center and provides coaching to aspiring racers. Today, Johan lives in Charlotte, NC, with his wife and two children, continuing to pursue his racing career and share his expertise with others.
