Pangkalahatang-ideya ng Racer
James Peter Kaye, born on February 18, 1964, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, is a British racing driver with a long and successful career, primarily in touring car racing. He is particularly known for his commitment to Honda cars, having competed in various championships with them since 1995.
Kaye made his mark in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), securing the BTCC Independents' Cup title in both 1992 and 1994. His career in the BTCC spanned numerous years and almost 300 race starts. Although he never achieved an outright win, he consistently scored points and achieved class victories. In 2002, he added another title to his name by winning the BTCC Production Class. Some of his notable achievements include a podium finish at Oulton Park in 2006 and a fourth-place finish at Brands Hatch in 2005.
Beyond the BTCC, Kaye's career includes racing in the British National Production Saloon Championship, where he secured multiple class wins and championships in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He also participated in GT racing and had drives in the Spa 24 Hours race. His father, Peter Kaye, was a Hillclimb/Sprint driver, which influenced James's early interest in motorsport. His younger brother, Richard Kaye, has also raced professionally.
