Fiona James

Fiona James is a British sportscar driver with a diverse motorsport background and an entrepreneurial spirit. Introduced to racing later in life through a track day in 2006, Fiona quickly transitioned from equestrian pursuits – where she trained dressage horses for Team GB – to the world of motorsports. Her passion for racing led her to establish Walero racewear in 2014, a company manufacturing body-temperature regulating fireproof underwear, born from her own experiences with the strains of racing in extreme temperatures.

James's racing career began in 2007 in a Radical SR4 and quickly progressed to GT cars, including a Ginetta G40. She has competed in various series, including the British GT Cup, Dutch Supercar Challenge, and the GT4 European Series. In 2017, she ventured into prototype racing with Blueberry Racing in the Supercar Challenge and the GT & Prototype Challenge, achieving multiple class wins and a second-place finish in the latter. 2018 saw her sharing an Academy Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage in the GT4 European Series, securing two Pro-Am class podiums at Brands Hatch. More recently, Fiona has been seen campaigning a McLaren Artura in the McLaren Artura Trophy.

Beyond driving, Fiona's impact on motorsport extends through Walero, addressing a crucial need for driver comfort and performance in the heat of competition. Her dedication to both her racing career and her business highlights her multifaceted approach to the sport.
