Charles Putman, born on June 8, 1957, is an American racing driver with a diverse career spanning several racing series. Hailing from Odessa, Texas, Putman's journey in motorsports began in his early teens with motocross, a passion curtailed by his mother's concerns. He later transitioned to car racing, showcasing his talent in various machines, including a Mazda6 in the SCCA Speed World Challenge, a Dodge Viper ACR-X in the Dodge Viper Cup, and an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the IMSA Sports Car Challenge.
One of Putman's early achievements includes a victory at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill in 2008, driving a Mazda MX-5 alongside Charles Espenlaub and Jason Saini. He continued to compete in IMSA and made his debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2012, finishing 10th in class. Putman's career highlights include racing in the American Le Mans Series and driving Don Panoz's GT-RA.
