Ben Hanley, born on January 22, 1985, is a British racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing disciplines. Hanley's early career was marked by success in karting, and he transitioned to single-seaters in 2005, making his debut in the Formula Renault 2.0 Italia series, where he finished third. He further honed his skills in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, securing the runner-up position in 2007. Briefly associated with Renault F1's Driver Development Program, Hanley also competed in GP2 Asia and the main GP2 series.
Venturing into endurance racing, Hanley found a new avenue for his talents. He has participated in the European Le Mans Series and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, achieving notable success. His accomplishments include an LMP2 class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Hanley also experienced IndyCar racing, participating in select races, including the Indianapolis 500. In 2024, he is competing in both the WeatherTech IMSA SportsCar Championship and the European Le Mans Series with United Autosports.
