Andrew Waite is a New Zealand racing driver born on July 2, 1989, in Auckland. The now 35-year-old has a strong motorsport pedigree, being the third generation of his family to compete in racing. His grandfather, Colin, established a panel beating business in 1959, which later became a sponsor for Andrew's racing efforts, highlighting the family's deep involvement in the automotive world.
Waite's career boasts multiple national titles and wins across various racing series. He began karting at a young age and quickly progressed through the ranks, becoming the New Zealand Kart Champion in 2005. Transitioning to cars, he was named Formula Ford Rookie of the Year in 2006/2007 and secured second overall in his debut season. Further successes include wins in the Toyota Racing Series and Australian Formula 3. A significant achievement came in the 2011/2012 season when he clinched the NZ V8 Ute Championship, winning six out of seven rounds with an impressive ten race wins. He also contributed to Tasman Motorsports Group's first win in V8 SuperTourers, partnering with Daniel Gaunt.
