Adam Mackay, a British racing driver hailing from Aberdeen, has quickly made a name for himself in the world of motorsports. Born on April 16, 1997, Mackay began his racing career in Scottish Formula Ford, demonstrating early talent by securing the Newcomers Cup in 2014.
In 2015, Mackay's potential was recognized when he was selected to join the prestigious Ecurie Ecosse Young Driver Initiative, a program known for nurturing Scottish racing talent such as Sir Jackie Stewart and David Coulthard. That same year he continued to hone his skills in Formula Ford, participating in the Walter Hayes Trophy and the Formula Ford Festival. He then won the Lotus Cup UK Supersport Championship in 2016.
Mackay made his debut in the British GT Championship in 2017, partnering with Adam Balon in a Track-club McLaren 570S GT4. The duo quickly found success, securing an overall GT4 victory at Oulton Park in the opening round of the season. They finished the 2017 season in 4th place.
