Yuichi Nakayama

Yuichi Nakayama, born on July 25, 1991, is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in Super GT for TGR Team SARD. Nakayama's career began in karting at the young age of six. He progressed through various local championships before entering single-seaters in 2008, joining the Formula Challenge Japan mono-series.

Nakayama's career highlights include winning the FCJ (Formula Challenge Japan) in 2010 and the All-Japan Formula Three Championship in 2013. In 2010, he dominated the FCJ season, securing ten wins and achieving pole position in all 12 races. He debuted in Super Formula in 2014 and has also participated in the Super Taikyu series. In Super GT, he initially competed in the GT300 class, achieving multiple wins and podiums. By 2019, Nakayama had stepped up to the GT500 class with SARD Team, racing alongside notable drivers.

Nakayama also participated in the Nürburgring 24 Hours race, securing a class win in 2018. In 2020, he made a Super Formula appearance replacing Kamui Kobayashi for KCMG. Nakayama continues to be a prominent figure in Japanese motorsports, showcasing his talent and versatility across different racing categories.
