Tadao UEMATSU

Tadao Uematsu is a Japanese racing driver and businessman, currently making his mark in the Japan Cup series. As president of Uematsu Co., Ltd., his passion for racing extends beyond the boardroom. Uematsu's career boasts experience in various racing series, including Super GT, Super Taikyu, and GT World Challenge Asia. In 2018 and 2020, he secured the ST-TCR championship in Super Taikyu, demonstrating his prowess in touring car competition. In 2019, he joined ABSSA Motorsport in Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia, driving a McLaren 720S GT3 alongside Keita Sawa. More recently he has been competing in the Japan Cup as part of Team MACCHINA.

Uematsu's experience spans several GT categories and machinery. Notably, he piloted a McLaren 720S GT3, helping his team achieve second overall in the Super Taikyu ST-X (GT3) standings in the past. He has also been seen racing a variety of cars, including Vemac, Porsche, and Nissan, across tracks like Suzuka and Fuji. In 2021, Floral Racing with Uematsu, with Tadao Uematsu as one of the drivers, won the Super Taikyu ST-TCR championship. With decades of racing experience, Uematsu continues to showcase his commitment to motorsports as both a team owner and driver.
