Masaki Jyonai

Masaki Jyonai is a seasoned Japanese racing driver and businessman born on September 9, 1962, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Jyonai's racing career began in karting in 1988, where he quickly established himself by winning multiple championships, showcasing his natural talent and dedication to the sport. He transitioned to car racing in 1993, marking his debut with a victory in the Suzuka 1000 km race in the Proto 2 class.

Jyonai has been a consistent presence in Super GT since 1997, initially competing with SigmaTec Racing Team. Throughout his Super GT career, he has secured two wins, with his highest championship finish being 5th place in his debut year. Over the years, he has driven for various teams, including R'Qs Motorsports, his current team, and has accumulated over 150 starts in the series. In addition to his racing endeavors, Jyonai is the CEO and President of Marusho Co. Ltd., a company involved in the lighting, security, and construction sectors. He also shares his racing expertise as a lecturer at the karting classes of Honda Racing School Suzuka and as a color commentator for television programs.

Known for his extensive experience and commitment to racing, Jyonai occasionally competed under the pseudonym "Guts Jyonai," inspired by comedian Guts Ishimatsu, before reverting to his real name in recent years. His continuous participation in Super GT and his contributions to motorsports education highlight his enduring passion for racing.
