Koudai Tsukakoshi

Koudai Tsukakoshi, born on November 20, 1986, is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in Super GT for Astemo Real Racing. Tsukakoshi's racing journey began early, starting with karting at age six and entering official races at twelve. He honed his skills, eventually winning the Suzuka Circuit Series MFC class championship in 2002 and earning a scholarship to the Suzuka Racing School Formula (SRS-F). He graduated top of his class in 2004 and dominated the 2005 Formula Dream series, winning every round.

Tsukakoshi progressed to the Japanese Formula 3 Championship in 2006, achieving fifth place in his debut season. In 2008, he ventured into the Euro Formula 3 series, securing four podium finishes. His debut in SUPER GT came in 2009, where he quickly made his mark with two podiums and was named Rookie of the Year in Formula Nippon. The following years saw Tsukakoshi achieve his first SUPER GT race win in 2010. He continued to demonstrate his talent in both SUPER GT and Formula Nippon (later Super Formula), consistently achieving high rankings and race wins.

Throughout his career, Tsukakoshi has been associated with Real Racing for a significant period. In 2013, after moving to the GT500 class, he became the highest-ranked driver. Partnering with various teammates over the years, he has consistently delivered strong performances, including multiple podium finishes and a close pursuit of the championship title in 2022. As of 2024, Tsukakoshi embarks on his 16th season with the team, welcoming Kakunoshin Ohta as his new teammate.
