F1 Academy Series

The F1 Academy is a female-only, Formula 4-level single-seater racing championship founded by the Formula One Group. Established in 2023, the series aims to develop and prepare young female drivers to progress to higher levels of competition, bridging the gap between karting and the single-seater ladder. The championship features five teams—ART Grand Prix, Campos Racing, Rodin Motorsport, MP Motorsport, and Prema Racing—each fielding three drivers, resulting in a competitive 15-car grid. The cars are built on the Tatuus F4-T421 chassis, powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine delivering 174 horsepower, and equipped with Pirelli tyres. In its inaugural season, the F1 Academy held seven event weekends with three races each, totaling 21 races, culminating as a support race during the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. The series has garnered significant attention, with a Netflix docuseries produced by Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine set to launch globally in 2025, providing behind-the-scenes insights into the drivers' journeys and the challenges they face in motorsport.
