William Alatalo

William Alatalo, born on April 19, 2002, is a Finnish racing driver hailing from Ilmajoki, Finland. Alatalo's career has seen him compete in various racing series, demonstrating his talent and determination on the track. In 2024, he competed in the Italian GT Championship with Lazarus Corse, driving an Aston Martin GT3. It was his first year in GT cars, achieving three podiums and finishing 4th in the Sprint race standings.

Alatalo's racing journey includes participation in the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2022 with Jenzer Motorsport, finishing 18th overall and being the highest-placed driver for his team. Before F3, he competed in the Formula Regional European Championship in 2021, securing 11th place with one podium finish. His earlier career involved racing in the Formula Renault Eurocup (2020) and Italian Formula 4 Championship (2018-2019), where he secured a win at Monza in 2018 and a 3rd place in FIA Motorsport Games.

Alatalo began karting in 2009 and won three Finnish karting championships between 2009 and 2016. Outside of racing, Alatalo trains at Kuortane Sport Institute and enjoys tennis, badminton, ping pong, padel, running, cycling and simulator driving. He was also selected to be an Olympic Committee Elite Athlete in 2018.
