Robert Thorne, born on March 23, 1990, is an American professional racing driver with over 20 years of experience in motorsports. Hailing from Edmond, Oklahoma, Thorne's career spans various disciplines, showcasing his versatility and skill. He began his racing journey in go-karts at the age of eight and quickly progressed, earning his competition license at 15. At 14, Thorne competed in a global contest for a Formula BMW sponsorship in Valencia, Spain, and won. This victory launched him into professional racing.

Thorne's experience ranges from open-wheel racing to touring cars and endurance races. He has competed in prestigious events such as the Daytona 24 Hours, driving for renowned brands like Audi, McLaren, and Volvo. In 2012, he secured the Driver's Championship in the United States Touring Car Championship. More recently, Thorne has made a name for himself in the world of drifting. He entered Formula Drift and quickly made waves, winning the ProSpec Championship in 2022 and earning Rookie of the Year honors in the Pro Class in 2023.
